4-H and FCE news

The India Family and Community Education unit will meet at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the home of Faye Young. Regina Shaver will give the lesson on men’s health.

¢The Kanwaka Family and Community Education unit will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Keith and Hazel Nitcher. Lyn Walther will give the lesson on “Building Bridges Within Our Community.”

¢The Four Leaf Clover 4-H Club met March 12 at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds. Sam Thomas led the club in singing, and Addison Jones led members in playing Octopus. Chantelle Davis was welcomed as a new member. Jennifer Livingood, County Council representative, made several announcements: The county will be participating in a fundraiser to make kits for people with cancer; Achievement Night will have a fiesta theme; and the club must provide two representatives to attend the Bromelsick Memorial.

Paula Aiken, community leader, talked about the Earth Day parade on April 21, fair books and 4-H Camp, which is set for June 5-8. The club recognized members who participated in Regional Club Days.
