There were no bricks flying and surprisingly few verbal exchanges occurred in a Topeka meeting between the Kansas Board of Regents and the Kansas Board of Education. Leading members of the two groups played down a controversy which involved which agency had the right to set admission standards for teacher certification programs at state universities. Officials said they thought a middle ground could be reached amicably although a number of details remained to be worked out.
