Former Texas RB pleads to drug charge

? Former Texas running back Ramonce Taylor pleaded guilty Tuesday to state jail felony marijuana possession stemming from his May 14 arrest, Bell County District Attorney Henry Garza’s office said.

Taylor pleaded guilty to having 4 ounces to 5 pounds of marijuana in his vehicle.

A state jail felony is punishable by 180 days to two years in jail and a fine of up to $10,000. He is scheduled to be sentenced Nov. 2.

Taylor, who scored a team-high 15 touchdowns during the 2005 national championship season, announced before the season he would transfer. He enrolled at Texas College, an NAIA school, in Tyler but had not been cleared to play this season.
