Athletics clinch West crown

? After three days of waiting, the Oakland Athletics can pop the champagne.

Nick Swisher and Milton Bradley each homered in a four-run second to back Rich Harden’s five shutout innings, helping the A’s clinch the AL West title Tuesday night with a 12-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

The win, combined with the Los Angeles Angels’ 5-2 loss against Texas, gave Oakland its first division title since 2003.
