Storms kill at least 65

? Storms in Bangladesh and India left at least 65 dead and hundreds missing as they capsized boats, toppled houses and washed away roads, news reports and officials said Wednesday.

Rescuers recovered at least 19 bodies Wednesday along the Bay of Bengal after sudden storms hit Bangladesh’s southern coast, the reports said.

Hundreds of people, including a naval commander, were missing after the storms started late Tuesday, the United News of Bangladesh said.

In India, torrential rains and floods killed at least dozens of people over the past two days in the southeastern state of Andhra Pradesh, officials said. The people died when their houses collapsed or were swept away by floodwaters, said G.T. Priyadarshini, a relief official.

The death toll was expected to rise, as reports from interior areas had yet to come in.
