From the Lawrence Daily World for Sept. 18, 1906: " L.J. Gray is one of the boys who is charged with hiring a team and buggy from Moak's Livery and later turning the horses loose. His bond has been fixed at $500 and his trial is due Sept. 27. : If Missouri puts together a freshman football team, the KU freshmen will play them Thanksgiving in Kansas City. : Enrollment at the university for this fall is now 1,218 and this does not include the Fine Arts or Medical students in Kansas City. The enrollment last fall was only 900 so this is a huge increase."
