Memorial service honors late KU Mideast expert
A memorial service for Deborah J. “Misty” Gerner is planned for 3 p.m. today at Ecumenical Christian Ministries, 1204 Oread Ave.
Gerner, a Kansas University political science professor and expert on the Arab-Israeli conflict and Palestinian nationalism, died June 19 following a long battle with cancer.
