The Lawrence Workforce Center, which helps employers find and retain skilled workers, announces several recent additions to its staff at 2540 Iowa:

¢ Stacy Walters filled a new position as business consultant for Heartland Works Inc., a partner at the center. She helps employers with recruitment and retention through the use of training programs and a new assessment tool, JobFit.

¢ Tristan Smith filled a new position as a career consultant for Heartland Works, helping the agency’s clients with assessments, training program enrollments and follow-through to employment.

¢ Scott Hoy, a U.S. Army veteran, is a workforce development representative with the Kansas Department of Commerce, another partner at the center.

The center works as a single point-of-entry to a network of employment, training, and educational programs and providers in the community. For more information, call 840-9675.
