Within six to eight weeks, 19 of the 46 units in the Lawrence Housing Authority’s “scattered sites” housing were due to be completed, opening the door on a new style of public housing in the city. The 46 rental units, most of them single-family houses, were scattered throughout older sections of the city instead of being clumped into a traditional housing complex configuration.
