Flags to be lowered to honor 9/11 victims

? Flags at state buildings will be flown at half-staff Monday in remembrance of the people killed in the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.

“We should each take time to reflect on the losses and pray for the survivors and families as well as the men and women who continue to keep us safe and defend our nation at home and abroad,” Gov. Kathleen Sebelius said.

President Bush has declared Monday as Patriot Day and called for a national moment of silence at 7:46 a.m. CDT, when the first plane crashed into the World Trade Center.
