Topeka ? Tailback Eric Packer scored four touchdowns, leading Topeka Cair Paravel to a 40-0 victory Friday night against Veritas Christian.

Packer scored on runs of 41, 16, 15 and 50 yards.

“He has good speed and a good line,” Veritas coach Doug Bennett said. “He follows his blocks well.”

Cair Paravel scored 34 points by halftime. All of its touchdowns were on the ground.

“We had a lot of missed tackles,” Bennett said. “Packer’s a good runner, but we also have to stop the run.”

Quarterback Ben Balman produced 134 yards of offense for Veritas (0-2).

“This is just his second game,” Bennett said. “He needs to learn a lot. He’s made good improvements from game one to game two, and if he keeps making strides, he’s going to help our team a lot.”

Veritas will play next Friday at Saint Joseph (Mo.) Christian.
