Quick Hits: The game should be full of offensive fireworks, as the two schools combined to score 109 points last week.

Friday's Games

Baldwin (0-1) at Paola (1-0)

Last week's results: Baldwin lost to Gardner-Edgerton, 36-19; Paola beat Spring Hill, 24-21

Last year's meeting: Paola won, 26-19

Quick Hits: The Bulldogs will look to stop the ground game after giving up three rushing touchdowns last week. All three of Paola's touchdowns also came via the run.

Tonganoxie (1-0)

at Kansas City Ward (0-1)

Last week's results: Tonganoxie beat Lansing, 37-14; Ward lost to Mill Valley, 42-13

Last year's meetings: Tonganoxie won, 7-0, in regular season; Tonganoxie won, 18-14, in Class 4A bi-district playoffs

Quick Hits: The Chieftains scored four of their five touchdowns on the ground in Week 1 and now face a defense that surrendered almost 300 rushing yards Friday.

Perry-Lecompton (1-0)

Quick Hits: The Kaws' defense could help avenge last year's playoff loss - in Week 1 , they held Immaculata scoreless, the Raiders' lone score coming on an interception return.

Last week's results: Louisburg beat Wellsville, 69-6; Ottawa lost to De Soto, 60-19

Quick Hits: The Cyclones go from an embarrassing Week 1 loss on the road to a home opener against a team that also topped the 60-point barrier in its debut.

Quick Hits: The ability for either team to control the line of scrimmage on the defensive side will be the key in the matchup, as both teams gave up numerous rushing touchdowns in Week 1.

Quick Hits: Mill Valley will face a tough decision on offense. Tailback Justin Woods ran for 272 yards and two scores in the opener, while quarterback Tray Scott threw for two touchdowns.

Veritas (0-1)

Last week's result: Veritas lost to Baileyville B & B, 46-0

Last year's meeting: Veritas won, 44-8

Quick Hits: The Eagles come in with only three quarters under their belts, with last week's 46-point margin enough to end the game early. Veritas will look to its fourth quarter - or the first quarter of Week 2 - to get its offense moving.

Saturday's Game
