Bright sun blamed for car-bike collision

? Police say sunlight was in the eyes of a teenage driver who struck a father and his daughter who were out for a bike ride Monday evening in Eudora.

Eudora Police still haven’t released the names of the father and daughter, who were flown by air ambulance to Kansas City hospitals. But police said Tuesday that their injuries weren’t considered life-threatening.

The 17-year-old girl driving the Mazda Protege that struck them was not cited for any traffic violations. Her name was not released Tuesday, either.

Police say a report on the wreck should be finished today.
