Veritas blanked in opener, 46-0

? Veritas Christian knew it would be challenged early in the eight-man high school football season, especially in its opener.

However, coach Doug Bennett didn’t think the final score would be quite as lopsided as it ended up Friday against Baileyville B&B.

Baileyville scored 32 points in the second quarter and rolled to a 46-0 victory. The game was called after just three quarters of play due to the lopsided margin.

Veritas next will face Topeka Cair Paravel.
