? His driving was fine. But he looked a little young.

Police say 15-year-old Ritchie Calvin Davis stole a bus, drove it along a public transit route, picked up passengers and collected fares.

“I drove that bus better than most of the LYNX drivers could,” Davis told a deputy after he was stopped and arrested.

Davis took the bus Saturday from the Central Florida Fairgrounds in Orlando, where it was parked awaiting sale at an auction, a Seminole County sheriff’s report said. The bus belongs to the Central Florida Transportation Agency, which runs LYNX public transit services in the Orlando area.

Passengers and deputies noted Davis drove the bus at normal speeds and made all the appropriate stops on the route. But one passenger, suspicious of his youthful looks, called 911.

He was charged with grand theft auto and driving without a license.

Davis is not old enough to have a driver’s license; he turned 15 earlier this month. But the teen did have some experience driving a bus: In January, he took a Mears tour bus and drove passengers around without incident, authorities said. He is still serving probation for that stunt.
