Webelo Scouts from Pack 3057, chartered to the St. John School PTO, attended Webelos Woods Camp on Sept. 15-16 at Camp Bromelsick. They worked on the Forester and Geologist badges, fire-building and other activities.
First-year Webelos attending were Eric Glogau, Elias Schneck and Kyle Vogelsang. Second-year Webelos were Luke Oberrieder, Clayton Pfeifer and Jakob Walter. Adult leaders were Cyndy Glogau, Marlon Schneck, Steve Vogelsang, Mike Oberrieder, John Pfeifer and Brian Walter.

Boy Scout Troop 64, chartered to the Eudora Lion’s Club, attended Pelathe District Fall Camporee on Oct. 13-15. On Saturday morning there was a heavy frost, and on Sunday a hard rain. In between, the Scouts had an excellent time. The troop competed in nine night events, which lasted until about 1 a.m. Sunday. They finished first in First Aid, and in the top three in seven of the events. On Saturday the Scouts participated in training in Scout skills and a campwide game of “mountain ball” in the afternoon. On Sunday a worship service was held, and awards were presented.
Scouts participating were Tom Stanley, Jim Adams, David Lewis, Justin Male, Colin Forsberg, Devon Middleton, Andrew Briery, Lyle Howell, Alex Whitten and Joseph Walker. Adult leaders were John Scott, Jim and Heidi Briery, Jerry Criqui, Tim Middleton, Bryan and Christie Howell, and Amanda Howell.
