Hall of fame wants best of Kansas teaching
The Kansas Teachers’ Hall of Fame is now accepting nominations for the Class of 2007.
The hall, which was established in 1977 in Dodge City, has inducted more than 300 exemplary educators.
Educators must show evidence of outstanding teaching and/or administration; positive interactions with students and parents; qualities that set him or her apart from other educators; continued pursuit of educational opportunities throughout his or her career; conducting workshops and/or professional development activities for parents, teachers or administrators; involvement in community activities; and educational recognition and awards.
Nominees must also have been a Kansas educator (K-12 or vocational school teacher or administrator) for 25 years.
The class will be announced in early April, with the induction set for June 2 in Dodge City.
