Signs of Life features James Winn workshop

October 27, 2006

James Winn has been making his mark on the American art scene for nearly three decades. His art is included in more than 35 of the world's premier art collections: The Art Institute of Chicago, Omaha's Jocelyn Art Museum and the Hallmark Corporate Art Collection, to name a few. Students and professionals alike are invited to study under the artist at the James Winn workshop, Nov. 4 at Signs of Life, 722 Mass. This workshop will include personal coaching on attendees' paintings as well as a demonstration of painting technique on one of Winn's works-in-progress. Registration deadline is Wednesday. Call James Schaefer at 830-8030.

Well the designation art gallery vs bookstore might be a hint? That apples and rutabags, innit?

I'm not certain what this means but it should be noted that this operation, which is a primarily Christian oriented bookstore, is flourishing Downtown while the only other art gallery in that troubled place has closed its doors.
