KU professor to give bassoon performance

Eric Stomberg, assistant professor of bassoon in Kansas University’s music and dance department, will perform at the University of Kansas School of Fine Arts, will perform works by Vivaldi, Mozart and more in a concert at 7:30 tonight in Swarthout Recital Hall.

The performance is free.

Robert Koenig, associate professor of piano and chamber music, Larry Maxey, professor of clarinet, and Karen Benda will join Stomberg on two works.

Stomberg’s performance of Bruns’ “Sonata,” to be recorded in December, will be released on Centaur Records in 2007.
