What he did: Hedges crossed the line in a time of 16 minutes, 53 seconds to finish fourth Saturday at the Sunflower League boys cross country meet at Rim Rock Farm. Hedges was the top city finisher and helped the Lions to a fourth-place showing in the team standings.

What she did: Thurman, an outside hitter, broke the school record for kills Thursday against Shawnee Maranatha during her final match on the Seahawks’ home floor. She added 27 more to her career total Saturday during Seabury’s five matches at the McLouth Invitational.
