Den 3 of Cub Scout Pack 3071, chartered by Prairie Park School, participated in the planting of three trees at the school Sept. 27.

The den is made up of Bear Scouts who planted the trees in locations chosen by David Williams, principal, and Bob Buchanan, assistant Bear Den leader. Den leaders Robert Kinder and Steve Steichen led the cubs in this project, which helped them achieve one of the requirements in the Bear book.

Participants were Nick Steichen, Tony Covert, Julian VanDyke, Johnathon Kinder, Eli Cullison, Adrian Staab, Ben LaRocque and Patrick Buchanan. They were assisted by adult volunteers Steve Steichen, Robert Kinder, Bob Buchanan and Jill Staab.
