Warm-up to take city to 60 degrees today

“We are down at 22 degrees this morning and it feels like, with the wind chill factored in, 17 degrees,” said Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist.

Twenty-two degrees was the new record low, Schack said.

After a cold and frosty start, Lawrence is headed back up to 60 degrees for the afternoon, Schack said. Winds will be from the west at 5 to 15 mph, she said.

There’s a chance for rain on Sunday with the low starting at 44 degrees in the morning, climbing to a high of 63 degrees Sunday afternoon, Schack said.
