Jan Kuyper Erland, Lawrence, executive director of Innovative Learning Systems Inc., has received donations and awarded scholarships for students with identified cognitive skills weaknesses.

The advisory board for Innovative Learning Systems, a not-for-profit literacy organization, includes national business executives and senior experts in education. Clients include workforce literacy training programs, public and private schools, and individuals.

The efforts align with goals of the Daughters of the American Revolution, for which Erland serves as local literacy chairwoman.
