Twins, Mauer take titles

— The Twins took home another AL Central championship, and Joe Mauer became the first catcher to win an American League batting title in a 5-1 victory over Chicago on Sunday.

New York - Derek Jeter went 1-for-5 in the Yankees' loss.

Athletics 11, Angels 10, 10 inn.

Anaheim, Calif. - Oakland won its 93rd game.

Red Sox 9, Orioles 0

Boston - Devern Hansack pitched no-hit ball for five innings before the game was rained out, giving Boston the win but not giving the Red Sox rookie official credit for a no-hitter.

Indians 6, Devil Rays 3

Cleveland - Cleveland swept the four-game series.

Mariners 3, Rangers 2

Seattle - Ichiro Suzuki hit a leadoff home run.

National League

Padres 7, Diamondbacks 6

Phoenix - San Diego clinched the NL West title.

Dodgers 4, Giants 3

San Francisco - Los Angeles won and is playoff bound.

Braves 3, Astros 1

Atlanta - The Astros were eliminated from the playoff race.

Brewers 5, Cardinals 3

St. Louis - St. Louis won its third straight NL Central title.

Pirates 1, Cincinnati 0

Pittsburgh - Freddy Sanchez won the NL batting title.

Mets 6, Nationals 2

Washington - The Mets tuned up for the playoffs with a win.

Cubs 8, Rockies 5

Chicago - Juan Pierre hit a go-ahead single in the seventh.

Marlins 3, Phillies 2

Miami - Jason Wood hit a bases-loaded, one-out infield single in the 11th inning.
