Lawrence Bank welcomes officer
Les Dreiling starts work today as president and chairman of the board at Lawrence Bank.
Dreiling spent 15 years as executive vice president at University National Bank, until resigning last year when he agreed to join a team to purchase Lawrence Bank. Among the new owners: Justin Anderson, a Lawrence dentist; Doug Compton, a Lawrence developer and property manager; and Bill Self, Kansas University basketball coach.
Dreiling has been involved in community banking for more than 25 years. He received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Fort Hays State University and is a 1989 graduate of the School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
He takes over for Terry Sutcliffe, who established the bank in 2000 and had been its president, chief executive officer and chairman.
Lawrence Bank has two locations: a main bank at 3500 Clinton Parkway, and a downtown branch at 100 E. Ninth St.
