Field goal in fourth nips Baker
FAYETTE, MO. ? Central Methodist University freshman Andrew Buchholz kicked a field goal with 58 seconds remaining to lift the Eagles to a 17-14 victory over Baker University on Saturday.
BU scored in the second quarter when Barnard Pierre fell on a blocked punt in the end zone.
The Wildcats’ Micah Mason erased a 14-7 deficit on a 21-yard TD run with 14:11 left.
Baker fell to 2-3 overall and 2-3 in Heart of America Conference play. CMU is 2-3, 1-3.
The Wildcats will return to action next Saturday when they play host to Missouri Valley in their homecoming game at Liston Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m.
