Break-in attempted at another liquor store
Someone broke a liquor store window early Monday in northern Lawrence in what police are classifying as an attempted burglary, the latest in a series of similar crimes across the city.
The incident at Topless Liquor, 1805 W. Second St., occurred around 3:15 a.m., according to a report, and caused $800 damage to safety glass and a window.
It’s at least the eighth burglary or attempted burglary at a local liquor store since Aug. 20, and the second time that Topless Liquor has been targeted in that time. The previous time happened Sept. 10.
