It’s divorce for Pamela Anderson, Kid Rock

Los Angeles – Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock each filed divorce papers Monday seeking to end their marriage of less than four months.

Anderson and Rock, whose real name is Robert Ritchie, each cited “irreconcilable differences” in their divorce filings in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

“Yes, it’s true,” Anderson wrote in a brief statement on her Web site. “Unfortunately impossible.”

The relationship between Anderson, 39, and Ritchie, 35, has been a turbulent one since they became engaged in 2002. They broke up the following year but later reunited and had several wedding ceremonies during the summer.

They were wed in late July near St. Tropez, France, and again Aug. 3 at a courthouse in Beverly Hills. They also tied the knot in an Aug. 17 ceremony in Nashville, Tenn.

Anderson’s spokeswoman, Tracy Nguyen, confirmed earlier this month that the actress had suffered a miscarriage.

The actress has two sons, Brandon, 10, and Dylan, 8, from her marriage to rocker Tommy Lee. Ritchie has a 13-year-old son, Bob Jr.

Country singer pleads guilty in bear tagging case

Duluth, Minn. – Troy Lee Gentry pleaded guilty Monday to a misdemeanor charge of falsely registering a captive bear as being killed in the wild.

Under the plea, the 39-year-old country singer agreed to pay a $15,000 fine, give up hunting, fishing and trapping in Minnesota for five years, and forfeit both the bear’s hide and the bow he used to shoot the animal in 2004.

The plea meant Gentry, of Franklin, Tenn., avoided a trial, which had been scheduled to start Monday.

Lee Marvin Greenly, 46, Gentry’s local hunting guide, pleaded guilty at the same hearing to two felony charges of helping other hunters shoot bears at illegal baiting stations he maintained inside a national wildlife refuge near Sandstone in east-central Minnesota.

Gentry told the court he bought the bear from Greenly with the understanding they would videotape a hunt inside the bear’s enclosure, which was surrounded by an electric fence.

“Lee and I made a deal about harvesting this bear,” Gentry testified. They also agreed to report it was killed in the wild six miles east of Sandstone instead of on Greenly’s property south of the town.

‘Survivor’ creator Burnett, actress Downey to wed

Los Angeles – Actress Roma Downey and reality-show producer Mark Burnett are engaged, a publicist for the pair said Monday.

Burnett proposed to Downey during a Thanksgiving trip to Mexico, publicist Jim Dowd said. Both are 46.

The couple, who started dating in 2004, plan to marry next year.

“I have found my angel,” Burnett said in a statement.

Both have children from previous marriages. Burnett has two sons, ages 13 and 9, and Downey has a 10-year-old daughter.

Downey starred in the TV show “Touched by an Angel” from 1994 to 2003. Burnett is the producer of reality shows including “Survivor” and “The Apprentice.”
