Sabatini Architects’ projects honored

Sabatini Architects has received several recent awards for its work.

¢ The firm was given the Design Award of Merit from the Society of American Registered Architects for its proposed design of the Lawrence Public Library, shown in a drawing above, recently submitted to the city of Lawrence by the 800 New Hampshire LLC group. The award was in the “Projects in Design Phase” category.

¢ For its 2005 renovation of the Eldridge Hotel, 701 Mass., the firm received the 2006 Citation for Excellence in Renovation/Preservation from the Kansas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The institute noted that the project restored the hotel’s historical integrity while updating the interior decor and mechanical systems.

¢ Daniel Sabatini, principal architect, received the 2006 Lighting Innovation Technology award from the Electrical League of Missouri and Kansas. He was recognized for his design of the Light Wall entry at Sabatini Architects’ new office in the Hobbs-Taylor Building, 730 N.H.
