No. 4 Ohio State wins again despite missing big freshman

— Mike Conley Jr. and Jamar Butler combined for 16 assists with just two turnovers, and Daequan Cook added 20 points off the bench to lead No. 4 Ohio State past San Francisco 82-60 on Monday night.

The Buckeyes (5-0), still awaiting the return of big man Greg Oden, also dominated the boards against the Dons, outrebounding them 43-29.

Cook shot 8-of-11 from the field to match his average for points. Ron Lewis added 15 points and Conley scored 12.

No. 8 Alabama 63, Xavier 56

Charlotte Amalie, U.S. Virgin Islands - Mykal Riley had 13 points, 10 rebounds and five assists to lead No. 8 Alabama over Xavier 63-56 for the championship of the Paradise Jam on Monday night.

No. 19 Georgia Tech 79, Purdue 61

Lahaina, Hawaii - Freshman Javaris Crittenton scored 10 of his 20 points in a four-minute stretch late in the second half to lead the 19th-ranked Yellow Jackets over Purdue in the opening round of the EA Sports Maui Invitational.

No. 20 Kentucky 87, DePaul 81

Lahaina, Hawaii - Randolph Morris scored 20 points and the Wildcats held off DePaul in the EA Sports Maui Invitational.

The Wildcats (3-0) will play the winner of the late game between No. 5 UCLA and Chaminade in the semifinals on Tuesday.

No. 25 Maryland 71, Winthrop 60

College Park, Md. - Ekene Ibekwe scored 18 points and Bambale Osby ignited a decisive run that carried Maryland.
