Linda Peterson, a vice president of the Lawrence Express Network of the American Business Women’s Assn., has been elected vice president for the association’s third district, which represents Kansas, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Peterson, an Ottawa resident, also is a member of the Kansas City Express Network in Overland Park and is formation chair for the Marais des Cygnes Network in Ottawa.

As a national vice president, Peterson is one of nine members of the association’s National Board of Directors that oversees operations for the association that has 40,000 members and provides business training and networking opportunities for women of diverse occupations and backgrounds.

Peterson is scheduled to speak at the association’s regional spring conference, set for March 23-24 in Kansas City, Mo., and at chapter and Express Network events throughout the district.
