Errors doom KU in 3-0 loss at Baylor

The Kansas University volleyball team lost a three-game match to Baylor on Wednesday night, falling 30-15, 30-18, 30-24, in Big 12 Conference action at the Ferrell Center.

The Bears (18-12 overall, 6-11 Big 12) avenged a three-game loss to the Jayhawks (10-16, 3-14) earlier in the season in Lawrence.

Kansas was led by sophomore Savannah Noyes, who totaled 10 kills. Senior Jana Correa chipped in six kills and nine digs, while junior Caitlin Mahoney added three kills. Red-shirt freshman Katie Martincich had 23 assists, nine digs and four kills in the loss.

The Jayhawks were without starter and team captain Emily Brown, who was injured earlier in the week in practice. The junior right-side hitter/setter previously had started all 86 matches of her career.

KU returns to the friendly confines of the Horejsi Family Athletics Center on Saturday to play host to border rival Missouri. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
