Five University of Kansas volleyball players were among the 50 student-athletes named to the 2006 Academic All-Big 12 Volleyball Team by the league office Tuesday.

Jana Correa, Jamie Mathewson, Megan Hill, Emily Brown and Savannah Noyes were honored .

Correa and Mathewson earned first-team honors for the third consecutive season while Brown was placed on the academic first team for the second time. Noyes, a first-team selection, and Hill, a second-team honoree, were first-time selections.

First team members have maintained a 3.20 or better GPA, and the second team have a 3.00 to 3.19 GPA.
