Lawrence Police have released information on two recent rape reports in the area.

Police are investigating a report that two 12-year-olds, a boy and a girl, engaged in what police called “unlawful relations” in southeast Lawrence during the early-morning hours of Oct. 29. The parents of the children have been notified, police said.

Also, police took a report from an 18-year-old Lawrence woman who said she had been raped by a 20-year-old Lawrence man. She reported that the rape occurred sometime during the early morning of Oct. 12. The woman told police she didn’t want a formal rape investigation.
