KU Baseball Camp: Kansas University baseball will conduct a youth camp Dec. 27-29. Hitting academies and Sunday night instructional sessions will begin Jan. 8. For information, call the KU baseball office at 864-7907.

Cohen Takes Finale: Bob Cohen carded a 68 to capture the Jayhawk Golf Club Fall Finale net tournament Sunday at Alvamar. Bud Stagg was runner-up with a 69 and Scott Simpson was third with a 70. Stagg also shot the low gross score with a one-under-par 71.

Shenoy Hole-in-One: Prakash Shenoy used a seven-iron Saturday to ace the 186-yard No. 7 hole at Lawrence Country Club. Witnesses were John Charnes, Joe Reitz, Keith Chauvin and Dan Spencer.

Mahaffie Winners: Lawrence’s Kim Yoder and Jake Messersmith captured age-group titles in the Mahaffie Half-Marathon Saturday in Olathe. Seconds went to Brian Daldorph and Sarah Sinning. Baldwin’s Laurie Comstock also garnered an age-group second place.

Cliffhanger Titlists: Lawrence’s Dee Boeck and Tonganoxie’s Wally Brawner earned age-group title as the Cliffhanger 8K Sunday in Kansas City, Mo. Age-division second places went to Anne Callahan and Karen Hyde.
