E.M.U. Theatre show marks 25th anniversary

E.M.U. Theatre has announced the “Silver Shamiversary: 25 Years of 25 Years” to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary.

The show will be at 8 p.m. Friday and Nov. 17, and 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 18 at the Lawrence Arts Center, 940 N.H.

The theater will present some of its past plays for the event: “Sex Machine,” by Andy Stowers, a play set in the last singles bar on Earth, where a lonely Don Juan tends bar and fights the temptations posed by modern technology; “Baseball,” by Erin Jones, a strangely compelling Foreman-esque riff; “Performance Anxiety,” by Greg Felke, the story of redemption for millions of men who suffer from a peculiar affliction; and “The Terrible Tale of Yourton,” by Matt Chapman, a mediation on liberty, security and who is to blame for the mess they cause.

Tickets are $6 at the door. Call 843-2787 for more information.
