Army Maj. Greg A. Saturday has arrived for duty at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.

A diagnostics chief with 13 years of military service, Saturday is assigned to the veterinary laboratory.

Saturday, a 1985 graduate of Lawrence High School, earned a veterinary medical degree in 1996 from Kansas State University and a bachelor’s degree in 2000 from Kansas University.

He is the son of Chuck and Sue Thomsen, Lawrence.

Army Pvt. Jacob A. Reynolds has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill in Lawton, Okla.

During the nine weeks of training, Reynolds studied the Army mission and received instruction in drill and ceremonies, rifle marksmanship, weapons, map reading, tactics, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, Army history, core values and traditions, and special training in human relations.

Reynolds is the son of Spud and Maryann Reynolds, McLouth.
