The Stull Family and Community Education unit will meet at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 13 at the home of Nancy Marshall. Breakfast will be served, and members are asked to bring donations of food.

The India Family and Community Education unit will meet at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the home of Beulah Anderson. Norma Leary will give the lesson on fall decorating. Members are asked to bring their bears.

Douglas County Family and Community Education in cooperation with K-State Research and Extension Family and Consumer Sciences is offering a program “Every Step Counts” at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Deal Six Auditorium at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St.

Staff members from TherapyWorks will discuss how walking is the answer to lifelong conditioning and helps maintain muscles and metabolism as we age. To register for the free event, call the Extension office at 843-7058. The program is open to the public.
