Austin, Texas ? Cat Osterman fired a three-hit shutout for her 36th victory of the season as third-seeded Texas beat Washington 1-0 in NCAA softball super regional game one Friday.

Osterman (36-2) needed only a solo run in the fifth inning as the southpaw collected her 84th career shutout for Texas (53-7).

Texas freshman Shannon Thomas stroked a two-out single to center field to score Jacqueline Williams.
