Schools get $1,250 from Sunflower bank
Sunflower Bank’s annual ABCs of the Be True to Our Schools program generated a donation of $1,250 to the Lawrence Schools Foundation, a charitable organization that supports the Lawrence school district.
Susan Esau, the foundation’s executive director accepted a check Friday from Glynn Sheridan, bank president.
The program was conducted in January and February, and amount of the donation grew as:
¢ Students brought in copies of their report cards to the bank.
¢ Customers used their debit cards. Every customer who had designated a particular school prompted 10 cents in donations each time they used their debit cards, and 20 cents for each time they signed for a transaction.
