Sertoma Cook-off winners announced

The fourth annual Sertoma Corporate Cook-off and Mixer attracted more than 350 people to Broken Arrow Park on May 12.

Golf USA, serving a North Carolina pulled pork sandwich, won the “Best Food” traveling trophy.

CornerBank received the “Best Booth” award for its “Doce de Mayo” fiesta theme. Pictured above are Jamie DeVore, Jennifer Attebery and Abbie McLean, of the bank’s team. The booth featured dancers in costumes.

Schroeder Chiropractic Wellness Center won the “People’s Choice” trophy. The booth featured chicken and free chair massages.

The event raised money to support Sertoma’s civic activities in Lawrence, including the Schiefelbusch Communication Camp for speech and hearing challenged youth.

This year’s contestants were CEK Insurance, Central National Bank, city of Lawrence, Clark Inspection Service, CornerBank, Douglas County Bank, Douglas County Senior Services, Factory Direct Appliance, Golf USA, Keller & Associates, Lawrence Memorial Hospital, Lawrence Realty Associates, Minuteman Press, Schroeder Chiropractic Wellness Center, Treanor & Associates, and Wiklund, Peterson Krische & Van Horn, DDS.
