The Kansas Canoe and Kayak Assn. will hold its annual state-wide rendezvous Friday-Sunday at Clinton Outlet Park.
The Kansas Whitewater Assn. is partnering with the KCKA this year to put on on a whitewater surfing demonstration at the Wakarusa Wave near the East Shelter House in the outlet park.
The Wakarusa Wave is the considered the premiere destination for whitewater kayakers in the state of Kansas.
This rendezvous and whitewater event is being used to draw attention to the desire to develop the Wakarusa Wave into a whitewater park like those in Colorado and Wyoming.
The public is invited to the rendezvous.
