Mother’s Day events planned at museum
The Kansas History Museum will present special activities this Mother’s Day especially for mothers and their families. “Painted Ponies & Little Heroes” is based on the cowboy theme of the current special exhibit, “Blazing Guns & Rugged Heroes: Kansas in the Westerns.”
Activities include painting stick ponies, a presentation by “Jesse James” and pony rides.
The event will run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. today at the museum, 6425 S.W. Sixth Ave., Topeka. Admission is free.
