The Lawrence Art Guild Assn. is accepting applications for the Guild’s 2006 Career Opportunity Grant in the amount of $500. The annual grant helps support artists in furthering their art careers.

Last year, the Guild awarded a $500 grant to Lawrence metalsmith Laura Zell, who used the funds for a trip to the Society for North American Goldsmiths Conference, according to Linda Baranski, Lawrence Art Guild president.

The Lawrence Art Guild’s Career Opportunity Grant cash award is available to a Kansas visual artist over the age of 18. Applications are due May 31 and may be downloaded from the Art Guild Web site at www.lawrenceartguild.org.
