The Lawrence Police Department’s traffic unit will conduct a citywide “saturation patrol” tonight, with the goal of stopping drunken drivers and other traffic violators.

The patrol will last from 5 p.m. to 3 a.m. and will take place throughout the city.

Also, since the beginning of the week Lawrence Police have been doing extra seat belt law enforcement as part of a statewide “Click it or Ticket” safety campaign.
