KU loses information from incoming freshmen

Kansas University has sent e-mails to nearly 300 incoming freshmen asking them to resubmit orientation registration information after previously compiled information was lost, likely due to human error.

About 290 incoming freshmen who registered online May 4 and 5 for a New Student Orientation session were affected, KU said.

The registration information, such as which orientation sessions students wish to attend and meal ticket preferences, was “not captured,” KU said.
