“A cold front is pushing into our direction that will spark off afternoon and evening thunderstorms,” said Jennifer Schack, 6News meteorologist. “We have a very slight chance for a storm today, with more storms tonight and a few scattered storms on Tuesday.”

At 4:30 p.m., Lawrence Municipal Airport’s temperature was 74 degrees, the humidity was 67 percent and winds were from the south at 12 mph.

“Tonight, there’s the better chance for a thunderstorm,” Schack said.

Tuesday’s morning low will be 60. Tuesday’s high temperature will rise to 76 by the afternoon, with a chance for storms, she said.

Wednesday’s morning low temperature will be 54 degrees. Wednesday’s high temperature will be 69, with another chance for showers.
