A $100,000 remodeling and modernization project was being completed at the Stokely-Van Camp food processing plant on East 10th Street.

The Lawrence school board set the class hours for the coming year – 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the elementary schools; 8:45 to 3:15 in junior high; 9-3:05 at Lawrence High School.
