One of the sponsors of a new law that will allow concealed guns to be carried in Kansas will take part in an online chat today.

The chat, featuring Sen. Phil Journey, R-Haysville, will begin at noon on the Journal-World’s Web site at www.ljworld.com.

Readers may submit questions early or during the chat. A transcript will be available during the chat and after it is over.

The first concealed-carry permits are expected to be issued in January.
