It had become a familiar complaint but for Lawrence residents who had been piping up to city officials, it was due to continue as long as their water was running with a red and rusty tinge. An area of East Lawrence continued to get the tinted water and was again asking the city to do something about it. Residents said the situation would get worse with summer weather and they wanted actions long before that after a long period suffering from the tainted liquid.
